Under Cover

In de morning at sunrise, the east side of the valley is covered in shadow and so is the wood of Apollo. That seems a perfect route avoiding the Achaeans who are heading the palace for their dead ones.

Mount Ithakos is shone first by the sun from the very beginning of the day. The shape of Mount Neion is visible in the shadow on Mount Ithakos.

Obviously Odysseus is expecting trouble on his way, but so far the plan worked out perfectly!
